With access from northern Europe in less than 3 hours, and daily flight connections from a host of low-cost airlines, Mallorca is an attractive sunshine destination, welcoming more than 10 million visitors each year. Tourism has doubled in the last 10-15 years, a significant change compared to other Mediterranean locations. Today the island attracts an increasing number of visitors who prefer luxury accommodation, and the exclusive atmosphere of many resorts reflects this.
