Baltic Park

Location

Wide sandy beaches, shady pine and beech forests, historic, beautifully restored seaside resorts - complemented by a wide cultural heritage, excellent restaurants and unique shopping opportunities - all this describes Usedom, an island in the Baltic Sea. With an average of 1,917 sunshine hours per year, Usedom is the sunniest location, and now one of the most popular holiday areas of the Baltic region.

Whether families with children, senior citizens, young people, sun worshippers or health spa enthusiasts  - the island has something for everyone.

The four imperial spa resorts of Świnoujście, Ahlbeck, Heringsdorf and Bansin were the favourite destinations in the 1800’s and early 1900’s of the German aristocracy, and have a long and respected reputation for luxury and decadence.

Though neglected since the 30s, in recent years the spa culture has been gradually restored and the magnificent buildings which line the Promenade at Świnoujście lovingly renovated and used once more by loyal visitors from Poland and Germany, and the spa tradition has enjoyed a glorious renaissance in the last 20 years. The city of Świnoujście has successfully returned to the bygone era of the charming seaside resort, and now attracts more visitors than ever before.

Świnoujście is not only a seaside resort, but an established town with 45,000 inhabitants, with year-round visitors of all ages attracted by the wide range of amenities and facilities, including a vast range of spa treatments, low-cost high quality dental and optical treatments, and of course the beautifully clean beach and warm Baltic Sea.

Many tourists and locals flock to the mile-long promenade for a daily stroll. Lined with craft stalls offering handmade goods and souvenirs, cafes selling delicious local treats and ices, and shady pine trees, this is a perfect place to while away a few hours while enjoying the gentle sea breeze. For bargain hunters, the centre offers a vast range of traditional and modern shops and markets, as well as an array of international restaurants and bars.

Świnoujście is a young vibrant city on the move in Europe. Just past the border with Germany, on the beautiful white beach and Baltic Sea, this city is benefiting from an unparalleled geographical location, and everywhere you can feel the awakening of a new generation of Poland.
