The purchase procedure is as follows: The title deed is signed before a Polish notary using an interpreter if necessary. The notary fees are around 0.85% of the purchase price. There is no real estate tax, but there is a tax on civil law transactions, amounting to 2% of the purchase price. For placement on the register of mortgages a charge of approximately €50 is made.
